Deck Doctor Request: I have been challenged to build a 2 climax combo deck including these two combos and climaxes from the original Idolm@ster series: IM/S14-003 / IM/S14-024 at Level 0 and IM/S07-011 / IM/S07-023 at Level 2.
DoDai is a fun Idolm@ster deck that embraces the antics of Ami and Mami in Weiss over the years. The main focus of the deck has always been to get out the 0/0 Mami, Futami Sisters' Healer (IM/S14-003), play the yellow +2 soul DoDai climax, pay 2 stock and discard a card, fill your board with Mami's, and swing for lots of damage each turn. Because the Mami can call up to 4 copies of herself (even if she gets stuck in stock it's likely she gets paid out with the effect) from your Deck or Waiting Room, typically that means you have 3 of her on board to attack and one waiting in the backrow wings to push up the next turn to relight the climax combo.
Over the years multiple variants of the deck have capitalized on ways to get the DoDai climax combo back to hand so Mami's effect can be cycled. Given that this combo comes from set #14 (and we're on about Schwarz Set #123 now), the cost for Mami's effect may seem high, but the fact that she can be called from deck in the early game means that you can pull damage out of your deck and push it back while hanging on to some hand. Due to the unique combination of things in this combo, it is still one that works today. It plays as a plus to board kind of deck, similar to how Standby decks operate today, albeit more costly. Since it can pull from deck very early in the game, it can even serve as a form of compression. Not in deck? No worries! Get it back from waiting room instead the following turn. Modern versions of the deck look at a couple of different variants to help sustain the cycling of the DoDai climax back to hand and offer some form of finish.
Before I delve into my take on this classic deck, I would like to share that the most common variant of this deck is no longer an Ami/Mami twins centric deck in it's climax combos as it was originally. While there are several variants running around that others have experimented with, the most common variant of the deck runs the 3/2 Chihaya Kisaragi, Singing in the Evening Sun (IAS/S61-091) and her climax (IAS/S61-124) that has a Gate (Pants) trigger. Not only is she a decently strong finisher, her Gate climax trigger gives us another chance to get the DoDai climax combo back as we play through the game. The new 765 Pro Anniversary Premium Booster has given us some new end game options. As of now, Ami & Mami's Level 3s don't have any climax combos, so they can pair with any other climax combo Level 3 or desired support trigger for the deck.
This challenge has specifically asked me to use the traditional Ami & Mami Uncontrollable?! (IM/S07-011) and Star to Star (IM/S07-023) Return (Bounce/Wind) Trigger combo. It's an older 2/1 combo where the cards get an extra 1000 power and an additional soul when attacking with the climax in play. The 2/1 also has character hand encore (discard a character card from hand) to keep it on stage. The trigger is useful into standby decks and into troublesome 3/2 early plays (think Alice in Nikke, their back row assist, or the 3/2 early play healer that anti-auto damages a lane in Idolm@ster Gakuen), but it has to trigger at the right time and doesn't plus to hand so it has lost some popularity outside of modern decks who have built strong packages around it (think Heaven Burns Red). I'm definitely fulfilling this request because I love messing around with Return (Bounce/Wind) Triggers, but I will also be providing some other builds for you to explore.
I will also, shamelessly, admit that I somewhat procrastinated in fulfilling this request so I could wait for the IdolM@ster 765 Pro Premium Booster to come out. I was hopeful that Ami & Mami (and the set in general!) would get some tech cards that weren't locked to Million Live!, and the release didn't disappoint! Still crying in no new Level 3s for the girls, but it does open up some end game options to explore. As a final note, please always remember these are first draft lists that haven't been tested. Use the "Copy & Edit" feature in BushiNavi or the "Fork" feature on Encore Decks to adjust ratios, add tech cards, and make the list your own after playtesting!

DoDai Ami & Mami On Theme Options and Builds:
Explore some of the options you might consider in building an on theme Ami & Mami deck here on Encore Decks (use Google Translate to give you a quick English translation of the abilities). This is hardly an exhaustive list. Given how big the Idolm@ster series is (dating back to the 7th Schwarz set in the game), there is a lot of crazy stuff that could crop up or come back around in builds to fit player preferences.
DoDai Ami & Mami Theme Build with NO 765 Pro Ver. 1

Deck Code: 3H3M6

Quick Pilot Guide:
Every single one of these guides, repetitively will start off with the same goal: Do everything in your power to get the DoDai combo off as soon as possible. Use your 0 tech, hang on to the +2 soul climaxes, and keep relighting the combo so that you can filter your hand to your end game. This build includes some tech 1/0's to help maintain hand or board slightly, but for the most part you're just going to jam DoDai. Later in the game at Level 2 you can use some of the 2/1 tech to power over board states, maybe early play a Level 3 Ami for some limited stall, and at Level 3 heal and focus on the 3/2 cancel burn. Remember! +2 Soul allows for Level 3's to side against other Level 3's for one, so if you're afraid of overswinging consider in certain game states experimenting with this tactic sparingly.
DoDai Ami & Mami Theme Build with NO 765 Pro Ver. 2

Deck Code: 38G52

Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/RTnu9qqUc
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build differs from the first because it swaps the Return (Wind/Bounce) for an older Ami 1/0 +2 Soul combo. Since she gives the ability your entire front row, she can help you sustain against Standby or Wall decks by fronting for maximum damage and then returning them to rest. This works especially well with the Level 2 options in the set. Warning: Her combo TURNS OFF the side attack option, so at Level 3 you're going to want to be very careful about using that combo (you can use the climax, but for the best turn play options you will want to keep the 1/0 off the stage if at all possible in majority of situations). Level 3 will focus again on the punish burn Mami, and maybe some limited stall with the early play Ami.

Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build differs in two ways: 1.) You have the new Level 0 tech from the 765 Pro Premium Booster to help you achieve your play goals such as the new runner, filter with top check to salvage, as well as a new searcher. 2.) You have a new Level 1 combo with a choice trigger that can help recoup hand if DoDai just isn't happening how you want it to, however it does fight a bit in the deck since the choice trigger doesn't deal extra soul damage in exchange for a plus to hand or stock trigger. The Level 3 game mirrors the previous builds before this.
DoDai Ami & Mami Theme Build with 765 Pro Ver. 2

Deck Code: 69XD6
Bushi Navi: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/ja/view/69XD6
Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/HVS7IGaxV
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build pairs the new Level 0 and 2 tech cards with a few copies of the 2/1 combo and the Return (Wind/Bounce) Trigger. You should have an easier time setting up DoDai, and will pretty much want to continue it most of the game while using the 2/1 combo later in the game for niche situations.
DoDai Ami & Mami Theme Build with 765 Pro Ver. 3

Deck Code: 7C2DJ
Bushi Navi: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/ja/view/7C2DJ
Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/RQQ_MpN1O
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build incorporates the new Level 0 and 2 tech cards from 765 Pro Premium Booster into an 8 +2 Soul deck with the 1/0 combo. As before, be aware that lighting Ami's +2 Soul Combo shuts off side attacks, but does return everything to rest in the front row. Be careful piloting at Level 3.
DoDai Ami & Mami Off Theme Options and Builds:
Explore some of the options you might consider in building an off theme Ami & Mami deck here on Encore Decks (use Google Translate to give you a quick English translation of the abilities). This is hardly an exhaustive list as well due to the sheer size of the set. Don't feel bad about swapping other cards in and out even if they're not listed, again, these are untested 1st drafts. It should be noted that I don't have a "DoDai x M@sterpiece" list below. This is probably definitely an option, but would require some very tight deck editing
DoDai x Eternal Harmony

Deck Code: 6L5JQ
Bushi Navi: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/ja/view/6L5JQ
Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/0NKyzby8z
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build is trickier to pilot because you need to watch your colors in Level or Clock very carefully to get off all that this deck wants to do. You can use the red Level 1 Package to get back and relight DoDai, then use the Hibiki Assist to send them to stock on reverse so you can pay for DoDai the next turn and the deck's other greedy effects. You use a lot of stock in this deck, so post the first light of the DoDai combo you should have no issue paying the characters out of stock to waiting room most of the time. The Level 3 Chihaya gives us a strong end game with a Gate (Pants) climax trigger that can help us keep cycling the DoDai early game combo, as well as the set's 2/1 stock swap event to help stick damage from the +2 soul climax and extra damage triggers.
DoDai x Smoky Thrill

Deck Code: 6SFKE
Bushi Navi: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/ja/view/6SFKE
Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/vOqAD0RpP
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again. This build makes use of a new Smoky Thrill Combo in the premium booster for your Level 2 and 3 game, as well as streamlines your color level/clock options. This is a reprint of the 1/1 counter change to Moca effect/salvage if you don't discard any cards from your opponent's deck that Shiroha got in Key All Stars. It works here due to the new Ami Bond and Gate (Pants) trigger that helps us to guarantee whatever climax combo we want to use the next turn. While several of the other end game finishers could work here and arguably be a lot more powerful, this effect and build may be a stronger fit.
DoDai x Overmaster

Deck Code: 6HU3A
Bushi Navi: https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/ja/view/6HU3A
Encore Decks: https://www.encoredecks.com/deck/VgeITpYRa
Quick Pilot Guide:
Ready for the repeat track? Get DoDai off as quickly as possible using your Level 0 tech and by hanging on to climaxes. Rewind to play it again for the final build for this blog! This is honestly a bit of an experiment that I think, in the end, may not work out. Miki's Level 3 combo with the new 1/0 event package looked like a lot of fun to play, and I like Choice Triggers. However, this version of the deck with all of the events it would like to run doesn't have a ton of Choice Trigger options, and you'll have to be careful with checking for Green in Clock/Level to use the stock swap event. Otherwise I opted for some different 1/0 techs here incase you run into turns where you are unable to get another +2 Soul climax in hand to relight DoDai. This build could also benefit from possibly giving up on the 1/0 event package and teching in an early play Level 3 (Ami perhaps, or a healer), increasing soul trigger counts with counters or a few extra of the Level 1's with soul triggers, and increasing the Level 0 game for better consistency.
And that concludes this Deck Doctor Analysis! Feel free to take, experiment, and modify these builds for your own Weiss Schwarz playing fun. Want to submit your own request? Complete the Google Form Here!
